The main way that you can participate is to spend time in prayer with the "Spreading the Fire of God's Love" reflection booklet. By allowing the Holy Spirit to help you reflect on the themes of our Diocesan Synod, you will be able to share your thoughts during the Parish Consultation sessions.

A second way that you can participate is to volunteer to help with the Parish Consultation Sessions either as a facilitator/time keeper or as a note taker. We expect a great number of parishioners to participate in these sessions, so there is a great need of volunteers to facilitate these sessions. To volunteer, please fill out the form below.

Volunteer Opportunities:
Facilitator/Time Keeper: This person has a timer and is responsible for making sure that each individual speaking at Parish Consultation Sessions stays within the time allotted. They will explain the process of the listening sessions, lay out the ground rules, and make sure they run smoothly. The Facilitator/Timekeeper is also responsible for making sure that the person speaking stays on topic, that there is no discussion after someone has spoken and that there are no interruptions when a person is speaking.  

Notetaker: this person is responsible for capturing the content of the information given by the participants during their timed session. Notes are not taken verbatim but should be able to summarize the heart of the the insight that is being communicated. Notes can be taken in whatever manner the Notetaker feels most comfortable with either pen/paper or via laptop. Recordings of the conversations cannot be made. At the end of the Parish Consultation, notetakers will review, categorize and combine their records into sub categories based on the 5 themes of our diocesan synod.
