First Reconciliation

Students prepare for their First Reconciliation beginning in First Grade and make their First Reconciiation in second grade usually in the month of November.

1st Reconciliation Meeting:September 28 & 29, 2025For family convenience, this meeting is held three different times. Choose the time that is most convenient for your family. The student receiving the Sacrament of Reconciliation along with at least one parent/guardian must attend this meeting
The meeting will last approximately an hour and 15 minutes and it is held in the school cafeteria
At this meeting students and parents will receive information about preparing for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and how the night of Reconcilition works. Families will also receive materials to use at home to prepare their child for First Reconciliation and the students will complete a project to be displayed in the Church on the night of First Reconciliation.

1st Reconciliation Welcome:October 4 & 5, 2025
All students preparing for First First Reconciliation are invited to be welcomed by the parish after the homily of each of the Masses. Parents and students will be called up to the altar and will receive a blessing from the presider. The students will receive a token gift as a reminder of their time preparing for this sacrament.

1st Reconciliation:November 17, 2025 at 6:30-8:00 pm
Students receiving their Frist Reconciliation should plan to attend First Reconciliation and their families. All family members are encouraged to receive the sacrament this evening. Many priests will be available to hear confessions.
